Expressing my emotions
When I came home from preschool yesterday, Mommy asked me, 'How was your day?' I told her, 'I was frustrated, because there was too much people playing in the garden and there wasn't enough room for me to do what I wanted to do.'
'You were frustrated?'
'Yeah.'
'What did you want to do?'
'I wanted to play catch the ball. Amanda and Cassandra were playing, but if I played with them, then there wasn't room, or I would have gotten in the way in between them.'
'Oh.'
'I was really frustrated.'
For some reason, Mommy thought I was really clever to use the word 'frustrated', even though she knew that the garden [outside play area] we have to play in is really pretty big.
Daddy's reaction: 'Well, at least he can express what he's feeling and won't be emotionally constipated!'
