Baker Boy

On Friday I helped my babysitter Caroline make a cake. This is the first time I've made anything to eat! It's more like fudge than a cake, MaMa says. But I've never had fudge. I call anything sweet 'cake.' It's called Chocolate Fridge Cake, and the recipe is here. We didn't put in any apricots or pecans. I know my Grandma Shirley would like it with pecans in it, but Caroline didn't buy any (they're kind of expensive here). I got to pound the digestive biscuits into pieces. MaMa says I should tell you that digestive biscuits are a little bit like graham crackers, but better. Anyway, it's yummy cake. I got to have a tiny piece of it a couple of times today. DaDa thought that it was a mistake to let me have some before my bath and bedtime.... MaMa thought that the chef ought to sample his own cooking!

Here I am having a little bit... No, not that big piece in front of me! That's about half of the cake we made. (MaMa and DaDa ate the rest, I guess!) Here's a close-up of the cake. Remember, if you want to see a bigger picture of the cake, just click on the photo!
