Noise!
One of my favorite words lately is "Noise!" MaMa taught it to me [inadvertently]: whenever she would turn on the handblender or mini chopper or coffee grinder, she would warn me, "JoMo, this will be noisy." I think she was worried it might scare me.
Recently, she put a small little machine in our bedroom. She explained, "JoMo, this will make the air clean." I said, "Clean" and did the sign for it, and said, "Dirt!" MaMa laughed and said, "Yep, it will take some of the dirt out of the air." I wasn't sure what "Air" was--but I know about air balloons! I looked at the little machine and said, "NOISE!" I say the word so that it sounds like a handblender whirling--shaky and loud.
Today we went to DaDa's work. I love saying "airplane" and "airport" too. Today there was an airplane there starting its engines. I shouted "NOISE!" MaMa laughed and explained it was a JET airplane. So now I can say "Jet" too. Tonight when we went to pick DaDa up, we saw a plane with two wings. I like the word two, too! It's called a Tiger Moth. It wasn't nearly as noisy! But one really cool thing: the pilot wore a helmet! That's another one of my favorite words!

I thought I would include a photo of me and Millie that was taken several weeks ago when we went bowling. Well, we didn't really bowl -- her brother and sister did. But we went along to have fun with them. It was raining really hard that day. So we had to use our umbrellas that Caroline gave us. Caroline is our babysitter/ childminder. She is wonderful and lots of fun! I love my umbrella. I call it "Ribbit! Ribbit!" I can't say umbrella yet.

Dearest JoMo:
Do you call your umbrella "Ribbit"' because it has
lots of ribs in it, or, because it looks like a frog?
from the GaGa who loves you
Actually, now that you mention it, I do tend to call ALL umbrellas 'ribbit, ribbit'! [MaMa hadn't noticed that before . . . clever GaGa!]
Love you!!
