I love you! . . . and Tea in the Garden

Last night I was going to bed and pointed to MaMa's rings and said, "Ring!" and then "DaDa!" MaMa then explained (again) that these are from DaDa and that he gave them to her to say "I love you" and that he wears a ring, too, that MaMa gave him to say "I love you!" She said, "They're 'I love you' rings." So I said, "I love you"--showing her that I understood. Okay, I was talking about the rings and not saying it directly to MaMa, but I say "I love you" all the time to her with sign language (hand over heart and then pointing at her or DaDa, or whomever I want to tell)! MaMa says that I used to say "Ahhhh laaaa oooooo" when I was 11 - 13 weeks old; whenever they would say it to me, I would concentrate really hard and say it back to them. But then I forgot how to say it as I got busy learning how to do other things.

Here are a few photos I wanted to share. Sorry it's been so long since you've seen me! Don't forget that you can click on any of the photos if you want to see them full size. These were taken in our garden [backyard] in May. I was just getting over the chickenpox. Our landlord, Mr. Heaton, joined us for afternoon tea.

Planting gladioli bulbs with DaDa. I like fla-fla [flowers]. And I enjoyed the dirt! I like saying "dirt!" too!

Tea in the garden (with DaDa's rose-shaped scones . . . yummmmm)! I think I had rooibos tea while everyone else had regular.

If you look closely, you can see some of my chickenpox scabs....!

Finally, I wanted to show you my new sandbox! Actually, it's not new: MaMa found it at a second-hand sale for like 3 pounds [$6]. It is shaped like a ladybird [ladybug] and has a lid. The sand for it cost much more than the sandbox! Sandbox sand is expensive here in England. That must be why MaMa and DaDa never want me dumping it out on the grass....
