Jokes
Tonight I told a couple of jokes. Mommy and Daddy laughed and laughed. I laughed too!
First, I let a little "wind" slip out while sitting in my booster seat at dinner. I smiled and said "Toot toot!" That's the sound that Maisy's trumpet makes in one of my favorite story books. Mommy and Daddy laughed a lot and told me that was funny. Later, Mommy and Daddy were talking and I didn't quite understand all that they were saying, but Mommy told me, "Daddy said something really funny." So I said, "Toot toot!" since when I said that a short time before, Mommy said it was funny. I was just trying to say Daddy was funny!
Then after dinner it was time for my bath. Towards the end, Mommy put her head down on the side of the tub. She said, "John Morgan, I'm really tired." So I told her, "Cot!" That's where I go when I'm tired. Mommy laughed really hard at that one. I guess it is kind of funny, picturing Mommy climbing into my cot!
Daddy says that he is now even more convinced that I will end up a US Marine, because my very first joke was flatuence-related humor!
